Major Juneteenth 2025 Events in NYC

Juneteenth NYC Festival (Brooklyn)

    • Dates: June 12–19, 2025
    • Highlights:
      • Black Kings Celebration on June 12 at the Major Owens Center
      • Parade and Community Day Festival on June 14, featuring a Kidz Zone, fashion show, food vendors, and live performances at Linden Blvd & Vermont St.
      • Virtual Summit on June 19
    • Parade Route: From Gotham Health Center to Gershwin Park
    • Partners: Brooklyn Nets, NY Liberty, AARP NY, Home Depot, Liberty Coke, and others
  • Volunteer Opportunities: Roles include greeters, youth activity leaders, and event crew members 

 

Harlem Grown Juneteenth Celebration (Manhattan)

    • Date: June 21, 2025 (Rain Date: June 22)
    • Time: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • Location: 134th Street Farm, 116 W 134th St, Harlem
  • Features: Family-friendly activities, cultural showcases, local Black-owned vendors, and community empowerment initiatives 

Juneteenth in Queens Festival

  • Date: June 19, 2025
  • Location: Roy Wilkins Park, St. Albans, Queens
  • Theme: “Black Family Reunion”
  • Activities: Live performances, workshops, Black-owned business marketplace, and community networking

NYC Parks Juneteenth Reflection & Celebration

  • Date: June 19, 2025
  • Description: A citywide initiative featuring events in various parks to reflect on the significance of Juneteenth and celebrate African American 

Additional Celebrations

  • Paradise Sunset Rooftop Day Party
    • Date: June 15, 2025
    • Location: Open rooftop venue in NYC
    • Details: Dance party featuring top NYC DJs 
  • The Lay Out by Emily Anadu
    • Description: A community platform in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, focusing on Black joy through events like Juneteenth gatherings, community meals, and support for Black-owned businesses
