Washington, DC — At a Wisconsin rally this weekend, Donald Trump said regarding his unsparing mass deportation plans: “getting them out will be a bloody story.”

Later, in an unhinged post on Truth Social, Trump went into explicit detail on his plans for those who he views as political enemies, including “jail” for Democratic donors and political operatives opposed to Trump.

As Axios noted, connecting both items, Trump is pledging “two of the largest-ever federal arrests of people living in America, including U.S. citizens, if he’s re-elected” and through threats of violence and retribution.

According to Vanessa Cárdenas, Executive Director of America’s Voice:

“We are shocked that no one bats an eye anymore when Donald Trump threatens political violence and speaks of immigrants in more and more alarming and dangerous terms. The dehumanization and violent demagoguery is not new but that doesn’t make it less dangerous. His proposed mass ‘bloody’ expulsion of millions is beyond reprehensible. This is not just about immigrant communities, it is fundamentally about who we are as a nation.

Trump has repeatedly dodged questions about the key details and specific costs and consequences of his unsparing mass deportations. Yet what we already know is chilling – he’s pledging it would be the largest, bloodiest mass deportation in American history and one that would deploy law enforcement and the military in American communities to round up and detain long-settled immigrants and rip apart families and communities in the process – and possibly go after a broader range of Trump’s perceived enemies.

Mass arrest and deportation is the signature immigration and economic issue of his campaign and a keystone of his larger plans for violent retribution against anyone who doesn’t fit into his vision of MAGA America.”
